General Tools & Instruments is offering five
new portable video inspection systems. The Seeker 200 model has a 2.4-inch LCD
color monitor for real-time viewing with a flexible camera tipped probe that
retains its configured shape for inspecting hard-to-reach areas. The Seeker 300
has a 3.5-inch LCD color monitor. It also includes a tipped probe with
adjustable LED lighting, and includes a mirror, magnet and pick-up hook that
can be attached to the end of the probe. The 400 model offers a wireless
high-resolution 3.5-inch thin-film transistor LCD color monitor that can be
detached from the base unit for remote viewing over 30 feet away. This unit
allows users to view live action, take still photos in jpeg format or record
AVI-format video continuously for up to three hours. The company also
introduced its high-performance, data-logging video borescope with a 3.5-inch
bright color monitor with a built-in rechargeable battery. The camera can
record for up to four hours. The wireless borescope has a high-resolution
display screen on the base unit with a detachable wireless probe. The probe
allows it to communicate with the base unit up to 160 feet away. The base unit
records still photos or video in multiple formats.
