Esab Welding and Cutting Products have added new conventional and self-aligning roller beds to its line of automated handling equipment products. These new roller beds are available in North America and replace Esab’s previous turning-roll products. The beds are grit-blasted with a polyurethane finish coating to endure abrasive environments. They also feature solid-state inverter technology for precise speed control to ensure welding accuracy, according to the manufacturer. The roller beds are available in a variety of sizes and versions for a broad range of applications. Depending on the project, fabricators can choose from conventional roller beds with load capacities from 2.5- to 60 tons or self-aligning rollerbeds with load capacities from 2.5- to 50 tons. The product is ideal for wind tower fabrication, offshore and shipyard, pressure vessels and pipelines, officials say.
