A four-man team representing Miller Bonded Inc. of Phoenix captured first place in the sixth annual SMACNA-Arizona invitational golf tournament April 24.

Held at the Legacy Golf Resort, the tournament featured contractors and guests of the Arizona chapter of the Sheet Metal and Air-Conditioning Contractors’ National Association.

The Miller Bonded team of Mike Dill, Pepe Arballo, Travis Gepson and Jon Gooch posted a score of 56, 15 under par, to win by four strokes over the foursomes of Robert Fitts, Brian Kearney, John Brunia and Janet Cuppage, representing Premier Mechanical; and Duro Watts, Bradley Hindes, Gale VanDerventer and Bobby Freeman of Innovative Building Solutions HVAC, respectively.

SMACNA-Arizona representatives said that the goal of the golf tournament is to allow members and others in the HVAC and related industries to network and compete in a fun environment.

“SMACNA-Arizona has taken a leadership position in the HVAC industry to encourage networking with others in the industry and to further the organization’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and excellence in all facets of the sheet metal and air-conditioning industry,” said Carol Goguen, SMACNA-Arizona’s executive director.
