Three programmable QuietMaster room air conditioners from Friedrich Air Conditioning Co. have won awards from a consumer review magazine.

The SS10L10, SS12L10 and SM21L30 models were named 2009 “Best Buys” from Consumers Digest.

On average, less than 3 percent of evaluated products are given the award, Friedrich officials said. They were judged on ease of use, durability, styling, warranty and related factors.
