CertainTeed Corp. is starting a Web site to encourage homeowners to save money -- and energy -- on their 2010 taxes with efficient products.

As 2009 tax season ends, CertainTeed Corp. is starting a Web site to encourage homeowners to plan ahead and save money next year by purchasing energy-efficient products.

The $787 billion economic stimulus bill signed by President Barack Obama in February includes a number of tax breaks when consumers buy energy-saving products. CertainTeed explains it all at  here . The site tells how homeowners can save up to $1,500 on 2010’s tax bill by purchasing added insulation and related products.

“With unpredictable home energy costs, the growing consumer demand for eco-friendly products and interest in the federal tax credits, energy efficiency is top of mind for many homeowners,” said CertainTeed President Peter Dachowski. “As North America’s leading brand for building products for more than 100 years, we want to show homeowners how they can reinvest in their homes to save now on their bills and next year on their taxes.”
