The Mechanical Service Contractors of America awarded eight MSCA GreenStar designations in September.
Since MSCA GreenStar was introduced in May, 11 member contractors have received
MSCA GreenStar status, which recognizes MSCA Star-qualified contractors who
have met stringent guidelines for environmental responsibility throughout their
companies, according to the contractor association.
The MSCA member companies who achieved MSCA GreenStar in September were: The
Fagan Co. in Kansas City, Kan.; Enginuity in Harrisburg, Pa.; E.B. O’Reilly & Associates in
Philadelphia; Current Mechanical in Fort Wayne, Ind.; Midwest Mechanical in
Kansas City, Mo.; Andy Egan Co. in Grand Rapids, Mich.; Hill York Service in
Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and Indoor Environmental Services in Sacramento, Calif.
MSCA GreenStar was created by MSCA to recognize mechanical service contractors
who have developed the skills necessary to deliver energy-efficient,
cost-effective indoor environmental products to their customers. MSCA has been
recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council for sustainability practices in
the HVAC industry.
“Building and facility customers are looking for mechanical service partners
who can deliver the very best environmental solutions,” said Barbara Dolim,
MSCA executive director. “The rapid acceptance of MSCA GreenStar among MSCA
members illustrates the demand for environmental leadership in the HVAC service
industry. MSCA GreenStar provides a reputable benchmark for quality and
environmental service excellence. The response to MSCA GreenStar within the
building and facility marketplace has been very favorable, and we expect member
participation in MSCA GreenStar to continue to grow as customers demand
environmentally responsible HVAC service.”
