The Air Conditioning Contractors of America is celebrating its 40th birthday today - and is passing along discounts on its manuals and training materials to mark the occasion.

Today only, if you go towww.acca.org you could save up to 50 percent on bundles of ACCA training materials.

Typically, members receive a 40 percent discount on packages of manuals and compact discs. But ACCA officials are adding an extra 10 percent today. Even if you are not a member of the association, an extra 10 percent discount still applies to regular price bundle purchases.

Here’s how to receive the discount:

Go to the Web site and find the “ACCA Bundles” category.

Add them to your online shopping cart.

Click on “checkout.”

At the bottom of the order-review page, there is a box to enter a coupon code. Type “BIRTHDAY” in all caps and click on “apply.” A 10 percent discount will be added.

Bundles eligible include the “Ultimate Residential Design Bundle,” “Super Commercial Design Bundle,” “HVAC Essentials Residential Design Bundle” and many others.

The offer expires at midnight.
