N.B. Handy Co. of Lynchburg, Va., held its
eighth annual vendor performance recognition event May 13 in Lynchburg, Va.,
home to its corporate office.
The company is an independent
distributor of HVAC equipment and supplies, commercial roofing materials, sheet
metal and metal fabrication machinery,
This event honored N.B. Handy’s preferred vendors for outstanding performance
during 2007. Vendors were compared against performance standards and their
previous performance levels. They were also judged on delivery, service,
pricing and quality.
“By being asked to come to Lynchburg,
you are being singled out among your peers by virtue of your day-to-day
performance scored on one of the most demanding and comprehensive evaluations
in the industry,” said Sam Meeks, vice president of HVAC sales for N.B. Handy,
during the event. “Your scores are a tribute to the quality and diversity of
your products, the dedication and performance of your employees, and your
execution and implementation of your market strategy,” said
Meeks.
The top nine performers included two vendors that
have consistently made the list since the programs inception eight years ago:
Ideal Tape and Johns Manville. The top nine 2007 winners were Berger Brothers,
Carlisle SynTec, Coleman Cable, Ductmate Industries, Fabral, Heating &
Cooling Products, Ideal Tape, Johns Manville and the
Techs.
Five special awards were acknowledged at the event.
For the third consecutive year, Fabral was named Vendor of the Year. Duro Dyne
was named most improved, while Honeywell was named most innovative. The award
for outstanding sales achievement went to Jerry Wandel from Fabral, and the
outstanding customer service representative award was presented to Mary Turek
of Ductmate
Award winners were invited to Lynchburg, Va.,
for an afternoon business meeting reviewing N.B. Handy’s strategic initiatives
during 2007 and previewing plans for the remainder of 2008.
