The Thermaflex EverClean residential flexible duct has earned an Energy Star rating.
The Energy Star program, developed in 1992 by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, helps identify and promote products that are energy efficient. To be an Energy Star partner, a company must meet energy-efficiency guidelines. A product must also operate significantly more efficiently than its counterparts while maintaining or improving performance and service.
EverClean’s liner and reinforced, metalized vapor barrier work in combination to supply a double air seal, preventing leaks and reducing energy costs while providing constant comfort, according to the manufacturer. The ducts resistance to mold and mildew growth previously earned Greenguard certification for improving indoor air quality.
“We are honored that Thermaflex EverClean has been recognized by the Energy Star program,” said Dave Oehlers of Thermaflex. “The program has not only educated consumers on energy efficiency, it has provided them with the tools to identify quality products that will conserve energy and save them money in the long run. Thermaflex is committed to producing progressive products and services so contractors can continue to provide their customers with proactive solutions to common issues.”
