The LRP 1503 AIR Boa pipe sander is an all-around polishing tool for handrails, pipe and tubing. It has a one-horsepower motor, with 20-cfm air consumption at 90 psi. The sanding arm snakes up to 270 degrees around the radius of the pipe. The operator rotates the Boa slightly to achieve a full 360-degree finish. This sanding arm is made of a light alloy with two deflection rollers for quick progress and simple operation, according to the manufacturer. An additional side handle can be rotated 180 degrees in narrow spaces such as handrails that are fixed close to walls. The Boa is also available as an electric model with an 11-amp motor and variable-speed control of 12 feet to 40 feet per second. Both pneumatic and electric models come with a carrying case and a variety of sanding belts.
