Welding group warns of unauthorized foreign language publications
April 7, 2008
If you’ve seen an American Welding Society publication or standard in Spanish or Chinese, its information might be suspect.
Almost all foreign translations of welding standards and manuals are unauthorized, society officials warn. The accuracy of the information cannot be guaranteed.
An exception is a few standards that have been released by the society in Japanese.
The society is asking anyone who sees what may be an unauthorized translation to call (800) 443-9353 or send an e-mail to email@example.com.
