John Conover, president of Trane Co.’s Americans division, is scheduled to speak April 16 at the fifth annual Great Energy Efficiency Day.

Sponsored by the Alliance to Save Energy, the daylong event in Washington, D.C., is expected to bring together hundreds of experts on climate change and energy issues to talk about what the future holds for the United States and the rest of the world.

Scheduled speech topics include “Energy Efficiency: Implications for U.S. National Security” and “Energy Efficiency: How Much Can It Buy in a Carbon Constrained World?”

In addition to Conover, other scheduled speakers include John Hamre, president and CEO of the Center for Strategic and International Studies; and Richard Bradley, head of the International Energy Agency’s energy efficiency and environment division.
