ISH-China, the seventh annual HVAC and plumbing trade show, moved from its usual Beijing home to Shanghai for the Feb. 19-22 event.

Organizers announced 223 exhibitors from 18 countries were at the trade show, which attracted 7,100 from China, Korea, Russia, and as far as Germany, Spain, Turkey and the United States.

“The German Pavilion displayed a wide range of products from all spectrums of technical building equipment,” said Gunther Mertz, managing director of the Professional Institute for Air Conditioning in Buildings. “Exhibitors commended the quality and professionalism of this year’s visitors.”

Its success speaks to the importance of Asia as a market, Gunther said.

“The growing Chinese market will become more and more important for both the European and German technical building industries to exchange information and technology,” he said.

Similar events, arranged by sponsor Messe Frankfurt, are held in North America, Germany and the Middle East.
