Contractors from Arizona, Florida, Georgia and New York state are among the finalists for the ACCA’s 2008 Awards for Excellence.

Winners will be announced during the ACCA’s Feb. 5-7 annual convention in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The nine finalists represent the very best of Air Conditioning Contractors of America’s member companies, said Paul T. Stalknecht, association president and CEO.

“Each of these companies are to be commended for their commitment to professionalism and excellence,” he said. “Just making it this far is proof that they are examples to us all, and their work raises the standard for our entire industry.”

In the residential contracting category, the finalists are: Selvey Heating & Cooling of Rossville, Ind.; Air Conditioning by Jay of Scottsdale, Ariz.: and Hobaica Services in Phoenix.

In the commercial category, the finalists are: Mallory & Evans in Scottdale, Ga.; IC Refrigeration of Ceres, Calif.: and Tri-City Mechanical of Chandler, Ariz.

The nominees for excellence in training are: Halco Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning in Phelps, N.Y.; Rise HVAC Technical Training in Tampa, Fla.; and Energy Auditors of Mount Pleasant, S.C.
