Lynchburg, Va.-based N.B. Handy Co. will become the sales representative and distributor for Engel Industries in seven states.

The company will distribute Engel’s sheet metal-forming equipment in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

N.B. Handy will be the exclusive seller and distributor for all counties in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. The company will represent Engel in northern Florida counties, including Citrus, Sumter, Lake and Volusia.

In Tennessee, N.B. Handy will cover Sumner, Wilson, Rutherford, Marshall and Lincoln counties.

Virginia counties covered under the distribution agreement include southern counties such as Rockingham, Page, Rappahannock, Culpeper and Stafford.

NB Handy’s agreement with Engel is nonexclusive in Alabama and requires registration to sell and distribute products throughout the state.

Paul Seufer, N.B. Handy’s general manager for machinery, said the alliance with Engel allows the company to provide a high-quality, comprehensive product line for its HVAC sheet metal customers.

“Our product portfolio now includes lines from three recognized industry leaders - Engel Industries, Iowa Precision and Lockformer - all Mestek brands,” Seufer said. “With the addition of Engel, we offer a complete family of machines to meet our customers’ needs. All three suppliers make superior products and are committed to excellent customer service.”

Scott Husbands, regional sales manager for Engel Industries said, “We are excited about the opportunity to work with N.B. Handy. Throughout the company’s more than 100 years in the industry, they have gained extensive product knowledge and provided first-rate customer service, both which align well with Engel’s vision and values.”

NB Handy will carry Engel’s range of metal fabricating and roll-forming equipment, including the patented TDF system and HVAC commercial and residential duct-fabrication system.

Seufer says that Engel’s inventory has been stocked at N.B. Handy’s distribution centers throughout the Southeastern U.S., and training programs are under way for N.B. Handy personnel.
