Cliplight and its manufacturer’s representative, Go Distribution, recently made a distribution agreement with Actrol to supply Super Seal refrigeration sealants to Australian contractors.

Toronto-based Cliplight Manufacturing has made an agreement with Actrol in Melbourne, Australia, to sell portions of its HVAC line of service technician tools and products.

Actrol, one of the largest 100 percent Australian-owned wholesale HVAC and refrigeration distributors, will concentrate initially on Cliplight’s line of refrigeration sealants, including Super Seal ACR for smaller systems from 230 Btu to 1,800 Btu; Super Seal HVACR for central air-conditioning and other systems between 1.5 to 5 tons; and Super Seal 3 Phase for commercial and industrial systems over 5 tons.

“One basis for the distribution agreement is the many requests Actrol branches have fielded from service techs who have heard success stories of Super Seal making leaking refrigeration system repair an easier and more guaranteed task,” said Gary Oborne, managing director of manufacturer’s representative Go Distribution in Albury, Australia.

Super Seal refrigeration sealant is injected into the system and remains a liquid until it leaks out of an exit point with the refrigerant. Once it comes in contact with atmospheric moisture, it crystallizes and seals the exit point permanently.

Actrol will be marketing Super Seal with informative point-of-purchase countertop merchandisers at its 37 branches Australia-wide, its 450-page product catalog, and branch seminars conducted by Go Distribution via the new “Super Seal Training Manual,” which is also available free online.

“Branch managers are excited because follow-up sales are already occurring and they see a chance to gain customers from other Australian wholesaler competition not currently carrying Super Seal,” said Oborne.

“This agreement helps make Actrol more of a one-stop shop for contractors like us that use Super Seal in our work,” said Kerryn O’Brien, proprietor, O’Brien Refrigeration in Werribee, Australia.

O’Brien, who is one of the first Australian contractors to use Super Seal, now has over two years experience with the products and has successfully used it in over 30 applications of commercial coolers, ice machines and food service equipment.
