The National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers will offer $14,000 in scholarships during 2007.

The scholarships are available to everyone, from high school students to individuals already working in the oil heat industry. Applicants must have a desire to further their industry education.

Contestants must write and submit a 500-word essay answering the question: “What are your goals and why do you wish to better yourself within the oil heating industry?”

The essay, along with a scholarship application, should be submitted to the association’s national office by March 30. Applications are available at its Web site, www.naohsm.org.

After review by a panel of independent judges, seven people will each be awarded $2,000 scholarships. These scholarships have been made possible with support of Delevan Inc. and the Dave Nelsen Scholarship Fund. Winners will be announced in the spring and will be invited to attend the NAOHSM awards banquet during the association’s 54th annual convention, May 20-24 in Hershey, Pa.
