Eleven new contractors have qualified for Star status from the Mechanical Service Contractors of America.
MSCA Star is a national qualification program that honors companies who meet or exceed operating and training standards set by the association.
To become a Star contractor, MSCA companies must complete a detailed application, which covers employment, safety, customer service, and continuing education and training for all employees.
The 11 new Star contractors join 18 additional MSCA members to have qualified for the program this year. Twenty-eight of the 2006 Star-qualified companies were recognized at the MSCA national conference Oct. 15-18 in Charleston, S.C. A total of 69 MSCA member companies have reached Star status since the program was introduced in 2004.
The newest MSCA member contractors to become Star-qualified are: AMI Services Inc. in Waldwick, N.J.; Goyette Mechanical Co. Inc. in Flint, Mich.; Linc Mechanical in Woburn, Mass.; McKenney’s Inc. in Atlanta; Monsen Engineering Co. in Fairfied, N.J.; Recco in Woburn, Mass.; S.A. Comunale Co. Inc. in Barberton, Ohio; Temperature Engineering Corp. in Sterling Heights, Mich.; Fagan Co. in Kansas City, Kan.; Total Maintenance Inc. in Bettendorf, Iowa; and Wolin & Associates Inc. in West Des Moines, Iowa.
