Compressor and controls manufacturer Danfoss has introduced a new incentive program targeting air-conditioning contractors.
The new program, called the Danfoss “Get Hooked” contest, is part of the company’s incentive plan to encourage dealer and distributor participation and stimulate sales of its Universal TR6 thermostatic expansion valve.
Danfoss says the Universal TR6 allows homeowners to increase the efficiency of older air conditioners and heat pumps and reduce energy costs without investing in more expensive high-efficiency equipment.
The contest will run through the third quarter of 2007.
Every Universal TR6 product purchased will contain an entry form. Contractors who fill out the form and return it will be entered into a database and receive a Danfoss hat. A drawing will be held at the end of the contest and one grand-prize winner will receive a Tracker Bass boat.
Danfoss will give away $50 Bass Pro gift cards to 100 runners-up. Danfoss will provide distributors with all product displays, support fliers and banners to help promote sales of the product.
