MILWAUKEE - Johnson Controls and Carrier Corp. have agreed to sell Scroll Technologies to Danfoss. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Scroll Technologies was a joint venture between Johnson Controls and Carrier Corp., with both companies owning 50 percent. Danfoss, a manufacturer of compressors and other refrigeration components, has agreed to buy Scroll Technologies outright, including all ownership interests of both Johnson Controls and Carrier.
Scroll Technologies makes scroll compressors at its facility in Arkadelphia, Ark. The sale is pending regulatory and other approvals, and is expected to close later this year.
