SMYRNA, Ga. - Emcor Service Aircond Corp. received a Safety Award of Merit from the Air Conditioning Contractors of America.
The company was named to the ACCA's Safety Masters Club and placed first in the category of over 200,000 hours worked without a lost-time incident in 2005.
"The exclusive Safety Masters Club is open only to those contracting companies with a formalized safety program and fewest number, if any, of workdays lost because of on-the-job injuries," said Paul T. Stalknecht, president and CEO of the ACCA. "By this achievement, Aircond has demonstrated a commitment to their employees as well as customers that they will do all in their power to ensure a safe workplace through training and company policies. They are to be congratulated for this singular achievement."
"We are extremely gratified to be recognized for our safety efforts," said AirCond President Alan Barnes Jr. "At Aircond and across the entire Emcor organization, we are passionate about the safety of our workers and have made a commitment to the goal of achieving zero reportable accidents."
