Colleges and universities earn accreditation for HVAC training programs.

MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill. - Six HVACR programs were recently awarded accreditation from HVAC Excellence.

According to the group, each school has aligned its HVACR program with national standards.

The accredited schools are: Lively Technical Center in Tallahassee, Fla.; Ivy Tech State College in South Bend, Ind.; Berks Career Center in Leasport, Pa.; North American HVACR Training Center in Redlands, Calif.; Clovis Community College in Clovis, N.M.; and Heart of Georgia Technical College in Dublin, Ga.

In seeking accreditation, each program completed a self-study comparing their program to 10 national standards. HVAC Excellence then conducted an in-depth on-site evaluation of each program.

Each program was reviewed in the areas of curriculum, faculty, training and student facilities, equipment and safety, placement services and financial aid.
