The SIR2 "pocket" infrared thermometer with laser and the SPK, a pocketknife-style thermometer, are designed for quick temperature readings of registers and ambient air, both indoor and out. The SIR2 uses a laser to identify the target. The technician can take ambient-air temperature on any surface. The SPK1 is like a common rod-type thermistor thermometer except that it folds in half. The probe folds into the body for storage and protection.
