Web site makes it easier for contractors to expand operations
A Tampa, Fla.-based company says its new online database provides an easy way for hvacr contractors to expand their businesses. At http://members.aol.com/galahvacr.htm, operated by the HVAC Company, a listing of many state-certified, but retired or inactive hvacr and mechanical contractors is maintained.
A contractor wanting to work in another state can contact a license holder, pay him or her a retainer fee and become qualified for work in the state. This allows the contractor to bid on major national contracts. HVAC Co. officials say current clients have landed contracts with Staples, Holiday Inns of America, Best Western motels and others.
