The Mechanical Service Contractors of America has released the "MSCA Customer Service Training Series," a 30-module program designed to provide a way for contractors to give low-cost customer service training to their service technicians.
The program was made for in-house training and allows technicians to move at his or her own pace or can be presented by a trainer, such as a company's own service manager. Each module covers a different part of customer service, from communication and listening to maintaining a positive attitude. The "Participant Workbook" for technicians taking the classes contains materials for all 30 modules and notes. The workbook costs $9 each or $7 each if 26 or more copies are ordered. A guidebook for instructors is also available from the MSCA. It contains everything in the workbook plus additional information. Copies are $70 each. Additional discounts are available to MSCA members.
