Duro Dyne celebrates its 50th anniversary this year by moving into a new 130,000-sq.-ft. headquarters facility in Bayshore, N.Y. Founder Milton Hinden launched the business in 1952 out of the trunk of his car, and it has grown to be one of the most successful distributors and manufacturers of hvacr products in the industry. It has four separate divisions.
Products include machinery, duct fasteners and fittings, insulation fastening equipment, residential and commercial zoning systems, hvac and ductwork hardware, spot welders, adhesives and sealants, and tools through Cooper Tools, a recent acquisition. The company also has a facility in Fairfield, Ohio, Santa Fe Springs, Calif. and Quebec, Canada.
