FALLS CHURCH, Va. - Rebecca Gold of Wigginton's Plumbing Service in Nathrop, Colo., was elected chairperson of the Quality Service Contractors at a recent QSC Power Meeting in New Orleans.

Gold has been a member of QSC since 1996 and a trustee since 1998. She has been a licensed plumber since 1991, the same year she became a business owner.

"As QSC chairperson, I hope to be progressive in brining the group forward and enhancing the image of the industry," Gold said. "I also hope to keep the men of the group on their toes by having a slightly different perspective as a woman.

"QSC has helped me develop efficient systems in my business and gain more personal freedom," she said. "It is a group I definitely feel passionate about, and I look forward to helping it grow even more."

Tom Maniuszko, of Day-Night Plumbing & Heating Co., will serve as QSC's vice chair.

Two new trustees also were elected at the meeting: Keith Bienvenu of Bienvenu Brothers Enterprises in Metaire, La.; and Patty Frank of Milton Frank Plumbing Co. Inc. in Spring, Texas.

Other trustees are: Steve Burch of Modern Plumbing Co. Inc.; Roger Peugeot, from Roger the Plumber; and Lisa Mitchell (Industry Partner ex-official), Service Doctors Inc.

Gold replaces Scott Ziegler, who was QSC chairperson the past three years, having served as a trustee the previous three years. A tribute to Ziegler was held during the closing reception of QSC's recent Power Meeting. The group also honored outgoing trustee Lawrence Snow that evening. Both outgoing trustees were given an appreciation plaque and parting gifts from the membership.
