NORMAN, Okla. - Luxaire Heating and Air Conditioning will team up with Minor League Baseball this summer as part of a joint marketing program.
Luxaire dealers and distributors will be able to sponsor games and help support the company's three-year commitment to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Luxaire will sponsor at least six Make-A-Wish nights at minor-league ballparks throughout the United States this year. For dealers and distributors, the move offers numerous promotional opportunities, said Doug Widenmann, Luxaire brand marketing director.
"The 2004 Minor League Baseball season follows a successful 2003 season that saw attendance pass the 39 million mark and go down in the records book as the second-largest attendance in the 102-year history of the sport," Widenmann said. "Statistics like that make minor-league baseball games the perfect venue for our dealers and distributors to get out into their local communities, promote the Luxaire brand, support their local Make-A-Wish chapters and have some fun in the process."
Last summer, approximately 100 dealers were involved in Minor League Baseball game sponsorship. At the ball games, Make-A-Wish children were honored guests and had the opportunity to throw the ceremonial first pitch and receive autographs from players.
