The RauPanel system for retrofit and new construction includes the company's 3/8-inch Raupex cross-linked polyethylene pipe, aluminum panels and wood-return bends. The system's low 5/8-inch profile is said to have a minimal impact on overall floor height. It eliminates the "over pour" often used in radiant systems, so less jobsite preparation and installation time is required. The lighter weight eliminates the need for added structural support. The aluminum-intensive construction provides excellent heat-transfer characteristics, the company said, allowing for reduced water temperatures and more-efficient operation.
