SHREVEPORT, La. - Louisiana plumbing and HVAC contractor Berg Inc. said it has worked more than 2 million hours without a lost-time accident. Berg's last lost-time accident was in July 2000.

Berg has offices in Shreveport, Lafayette and New Orleans and operates more than 90 service vehicles.

"Construction is a very dangerous industry," said President Bob Hamm. "That's why we have a full-time safety director, and discuss safety at the beginning of every meeting. The credit for this remarkable achievement goes to our construction craftspeople and service technicians."

Some of Berg's larger construction projects have included Willis-Knighton Bossier, Harrah's Hotel and Casino, SciPort Discovery Center and many projects at General Motors Corp.'s Shreveport plant.
