Contractors in attendance at the celebration heard remarks from Tom Huntington, UPG president, and Matt Peterson, marketing vice president. They also participated in a raffle for a York Affinity air-conditioning system, IAQ products and a York Talking Thermostat.
Maurice F. Johnston, owner of MS Johnston Co. in Hagerstown, Md., York's longest-tenured dealership, at 64 years, cut the birthday cake to mark the company's milestone.
"York is 130 years old and just getting started. This is a vibrant, dynamic industry, and it's a privilege to be a part of it," said Huntington. "More than a century after the company was founded, York continues to bring innovative technology and products to the heating and air-conditioning market, including our recent introduction of the Affinity series, the new generation of York air conditioners, heat pumps and furnaces."
