York International Corp.'s Unitary Products Group Luxaire division has created the Luxaire Business Network, also called Biz.Net for its heating and air-conditioning distributors and dealers. The system is designed to improve efficiency and foster better communication with the distributors and dealers, all while saving money.

The system offers distributors access to real time information and services, including order management, inventory availability, shipping status, warranty registration, account and invoice status, a full product catalog and more. Also available is a feature that helps dealers create customized brochures promoting their products.

Luxaire created the new system in conjunction with Click Commerce Inc., a channel management software and service company. Luxaire officials say the system is easy to use. "Biz.Net gives our channel partners easy, instant access to all our information," said Doug Widenmann, brand director for Luxaire products and programs. "The time they save with Biz.Net is better directed towards sales and service accessories, which will lead to improved customer satisfaction?," Widenmann added.

"Biz.Net will save our distributors money by producing quicker answers to their inquiries and their customers' questions. It will also decrease the amount of errors associated with common transactions, especially in the traditionally difficult areas like service and warranties."

Company officials say in the future Biz.Net will allow Luxaire channel partners to integrate their internal systems with the Biz.Net platform and eliminate unnecessary transaction overhead.
