Use of copper in architecture featured
March 2, 2001
The Copper Development Association Inc. (CDA) showcased the use of copper in some interesting architectural projects in a recent issue of its newsletter, Copper Topics. One was the use of prepatinated copper wall panels on the new Rose Space Center at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. Another was the liberal use of copper in architect Lee Harris Pomeroy's restoration of a penthouse apartment in the same city, bordering Central Park. The apartment earned an award for excellence in design from the American Institute of Architects.
