CINCINNATI - Solutions for better indoor air quality will be high up on the list for those attending the upcoming summer meeting here of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

The meeting will take place June 23-27 at the Cincinnati Convention Center.

Several sessions will focus on IAQ and odor removal, with several more examining alternative technologies. A forum will examine the energy, construction and maintenance cost implications of central air handling and fan filter units. Another forum will address test and balance specifications.

In related news, the International Air-conditioning, Heating and Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo) will now be held in Chicago's McCormick Place every three years. In a joint decision, International Exposition Company (IEC), the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI), announced the decision to visit Chicago on a three-year cycle starting with the 2003 Show.
