BURLINGTON, Mass. - Trane wholesale distributor Air Purchases Inc. hosted an open house Feb. 2 to celebrate the launch of its eighth branch location in Quincy, Mass., where the company has signed a long-term lease on 17,000 square feet of space.
Nearly 100 vendors attended the event, which featured demonstrations from many industry vendors, including DuroDyne, Malco, Honeywell, ACME Manufacturing, Tecumseh and Hart & Cooley.
Air Purchases parts manager Jeff Hilyard demonstrated the company's ability to locate parts from virtually any manufacturer. Tom Swalec, account representative for the Massachusetts CoolSmart program, was on hand to educate contractors about the benefits and rebates available to them through the program. Contractors taking part in the open house celebration were also able to take advantage of parts discounts.
Air Purchases CEO Frank Engel, President Rob Engle, Vice President and General Manager Ivan Quinchia and Vice President of sales Ed Jackson officiated at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Following the ceremony, Jackson drew the winners of the event's three top prizes.
Paul Raleigh of McClaren Heating and Air Conditioning captured the grand prize of a Cape Code golf trip for four. Keith Starosciak of Curley Bros. took the first prize, a day of racing for two at F1Boston, an indoor racing facility. Second prize went to Craig L'Esperance, also of Curley Brothers. L'Esperance was the winner of a $100 gift certificate to Not Your Average Joe's restaurant.
