STAMFORD, Conn.– Lindab Inc. has launched its new SPIROflange, to simplify flat oval ductwork installation in even the tightest of spaces. Its single-piece construction completely encircles the duct for a secure and durable connection, and the SPIROflange provides a tight, leak-resistant connection. Once the two flanges are pressed together, they are held in place with a “drive” cleat, easily slid into place across the flat sides of the oval, much like how rectangular is currently installed. Sheet metal screws hold the rounded sides of the oval connection together. Examples can be seen at Lindab’s Booth #3031 in Atlantic City.

Wally Thompson, owner of New England Sheet Metal Company, who recently installed Lindab’s flat oval ductwork in a new medical facility located in Bridgeport, Conn. said, “The SPIROflange saved us more than 10% in total labor time, because it was so easy to align and put together. The design also ensured a solid fit every time, which made it much nicer to work with than other oval flanges we’ve installed in the past. In fact, we were so pleased with how simple and quick it was to use that we’ve already recommended it for future installations.”
