The Refrigeration Service Engineers Society honored many individuals and organizations at its 66th annual conference on Oct. 1-4 in Nashville, Tenn.

The Paul B. Reed Award, which recognizes RSES chapters with exceptional educational programs, was presented to the Southeastern Iowa Chapter, Middle Tennessee Chapter and Greater Toledo (Ohio) Chapter.

Joseph C. Knotts of the Greater Cincinnati Chapter, received the John Spence Award for the highest grade within the past year on the certificate-member exam.

The Imperial Award recognizes RSES certificate members with the highest grade on a specialist exam during the past year. Winners included Ratib Baker of the Chesapeake Chapter, Joe Marchese of the Greater Pittsburgh Chapter, Gary A. Sims of the Elkhorn Valley Chapter, Hugh Cole of the Five Star Chapter, Joel D. Krause of the Red River Chapter, Richard Hoke of the Fox Valley Chapter and Reinhard F. Hurt from the Greater Detroit Chapter.

The Newsletter Contest Award, sponsored by RSES Journal, recognizes the work of chapter newsletter editors. First place went to Joe Marchese, editor of Techline News from the Greater Pittsburgh Chapter.

Pascal N. Nouna, a student at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Mich., received the Ernie Cahn, J. W. Harris Scholarship and the Robert Fordeck Memorial Scholarship awards. The Ernie Cahn, J. W. Harris Scholarship entitles the recipient to a year's membership in RSES as well as one year's tuition for society training courses. The Robert Fordeck Memorial Scholarship is worth $500.
