Captive-Aire Systems reaches sales record
YOUNGSVILLE, N.C. - Captive-Aire Systems Inc. announced sales of $100 million, in 2002, a record for the commercial kitchen ventilation systems manufacturer.
"We are very grateful to our loyal and valued customers who made this record a reality," said President Bob Luddy. "We also thank our hard-working and highly service-oriented employees who achieved this record during a difficult year for our national economy."
Captive-Aire began making hoods in a small garage in 1977. It operates three major manufacturing plants in Muskogee, Okla., West Union, Iowa and Youngsville, N.C.
It operates 40 U.S. sales offices staffed by sales engineers who work directly for Captive-Aire. The company recently announced plans to expand, with new sales offices opening in Houston, Portland, Ore., Salt Lake City and eastern New York.
