MINNEAPOLIS - Rebuild Together, a national charity that repairs homes of elderly, disabled and low-income families, received VisionPro touch-screen thermostats from Honeywell.
Honeywell is a national sponsor of Rebuilding Together through its community-outreach program, Honeywell Hometown Solutions. Recently, the company organized approximately 500 employee volunteers to participate in home rehabilitation projects across the United States.
"With Rebuilding Together, we are focusing our resources on improving the communities where our employees live, work and raise their families," said Dan O'Donnell, Honeywell's director of product management for residential thermostats. "We're proud to partner with contractors to install VisionPro at Honeywell-sponsored projects to help provide long-term energy-saving benefits to homeowners in need."
In addition to teaming up with local contractors to install the VisionPro units, the projects include new roofs, landscaping, exterior painting, plumbing and electrical wiring.
