The award recognizes the development and results of Trumpf's Sprint Axis laser technology. The Sprint Axis is a small and light kinematic module with axis-travel limited to four inches integrated into a standard machine.
"Trumpf is among the select companies who represent the creativity, ingenuity and drive that will lead Connecticut's economic growth," said Sheila Carmine, executive director of the CQIA Partnership. Trumpf was one of only 20 gold-level innovation prize winners.
The Connecticut Quality Improvement Award recognizes Connecticut manufacturing and service companies that excel in quality improvements for business success and growth.
