The Careers in Construction Expo was held recently in Washington, D.C. with the support of the Associated Builders and Contractors.

WASHINGTON - The Associated Builders and Contractors sponsored the April 29 Careers in Construction Expo at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C., designed to highlight the professional and educational opportunities in the construction industry.

More than 2,000 high school students from Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware and the Washington, D.C., area participated in the event.

"ABC believes in introducing the next generation to the many exciting career opportunities in the construction industry, which is why we sponsor events such as this hands-on construction career expo," said Carole L. Bionda, the association's national chairwoman and vice president of the Nova Group in Napa, Calif.
