UL has announced damper manufacturers will be required to provide fire, smoke and combination fire/smoke dampers that are tested to new requirements.
Underwriters Laboratories has announced, effective July 1, damper manufacturers will be required to provide fire, smoke and combination fire/smoke dampers that are tested to new requirements, according to the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association (SMACNA). SMACNA members were provided a description and summary of the new test standards in a special membership mailing sent in May.
