The contest rewards distributors who execute the sales and marketing programs Coleman provides.
Under the terms of the contest, distributors are grouped by size and earn points according to their performance in 19 different categories. The categories include product mix, number of dealers, total sales growth and participating in a variety of Coleman Liberties programs, including co-marketing and Coleman Business Training University programs.
Webb Distributors has been involved with Coleman since 1992, and operates seven wholesale locations and two retail facilities throughout Arizona.
CFM Equipment Distributors of Sacramento, Calif., placed second in the contest. CFM delivers products, customer support and training to contractors in northern California and northern Nevada.
"We are fortunate to work with some of the best distribution companies in the industry," said Mickey Smith, Coleman brand manager. "Webb and CFM were particularly adept at implementing the support tools Coleman offers to create successful sales and marketing programs and as a result, enhanced their performance during the past year."
As the contest's first-place winners, Webb Distributors received a grand prize package worth $10,000. It included a Dell desktop computer, the services of a Coleman BTU trainer for one day and a number of pieces of business equipment.
The second prize awarded to CFM Equipment Distributors included a color printer, PowerPoint project screen and computer memory stick.
