This and other aspects of e-commerce were discussed at the company's third annual vendor Technology Forum 2000 recently in central Oregon's Sunriver Resort.
Gary Daniels, president of Johnstone Supply, said the four-day event was of tremendous significance to our industry as it brought together many suppliers who generally would not share strategic issues together.
"Because the way we do business today is in a constant state of change," Daniels said, "the technology forum is important to all of us. E-commerce is breaking down the barriers of time, distance and physical space. The biggest threat to our business is letting someone else take advantage of technology while we wait. We aspire to be the catalyst for the use and application of e-commerce in our industry."
