ARI names new leaders
ARLINGTON, Va. - Geraud Darnis, president of Carrier Corp., was elected chairman of the board of directors of the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute during the ARI board meeting on Nov. 14 in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Darnis is chairman of the ARI budget and investment committee and serves on ARI's planning committee, nominating committee and executive committee. He also served on ARI'S board of directors and is a member of the board of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology Institute.
Other officers elected at the annual meeting included Debbie Hawkins, president of Superior Coils, who was elected first chairwoman of ARI. David Pannier, president of Residential Systems for Trane, will serve as immediate past chairman of ARI.
ARI officers elected by the board include nine vice presidents, including Scott Boxer, president and COO of Service Experts Inc.; Ralph Coppola, president and CEO of Hill Phoenix; Steven Duerwachter, president of Baltimore Air Coil; John Ferguson, president of the International Division of Tecumseh Products; David LaGrand, president and COO for Nordyne Inc.; David Myers, president of York International; John Reilly, president and CEO of National Refrigeration Products; Eric Roberts, general manager for McQuay International; and Robert Wilkins, president of Danfoss Inc. Keith Coursin, president of Desert Aire Corp., was named treasurer for the board.
