Estimation marks 30 years in business
April 1, 2003
LINTHICUM HEIGHTS, Md. - Estimation Inc. celebrated its 30th business anniversary with the start of 2003. Estimation provides the construction industry with products like the Estimation estimating system and the PowerPro Purchasing System. Estimation also supports national and local trade associations with in-kind and monetary contributions. Estimation was founded by the late George M. Llewellyn. By combining his knowledge of construction with computer technology, Llewellyn presented the industry with its first estimating system, TEK Unit, in 1973. Estimation said it prides itself on keeping its users equipped with the most advanced software tools by providing updates to its systems biannually throughout its 30-year history. Now, in 2003, the company offers contractors the next generation of Estimation, NET Series, Version 10, which will be released at the 12th annual Estimation User Conference April 6-9 in Baltimore. "By involving users in product enhancement and maintaining strong ties to industry trade associations we have been able to offer top quality products for 30 years," said Alan T. Mech, the company's vice president of contractor solutions. "As a result, I would like to invite everyone in the construction industry to help us celebrate this special occasion."
