SHELBYVILLE, Ind. -- Knauf Fiber Glass, said its facilities here have achieved registration to the new revised ISO 9001:2000 standard.

Knauf Fiber Glass, Shelbyville, Ind., said its facilities in Shelbyville have achieved registration to the new revised ISO 9001:2000 international standard, which focuses on quality management systems.

Knauf's certification was secured through independent confirmation by Underwriter's Laboratories of its successful implementation of a comprehensive customer satisfaction and continual improvement program.

Knauf's other facilities in Shasta Lake, Calif., and Lanett, Ala., are expected to formally certify by mid-2003, "though both facilities currently follow customer satisfaction policies set by the Shelbyville corporate headquarters," the company said.
