The Associated Air Balance Council (AABC) has released “AABC National Standards for Total System Balance, 2002 Edition.” The sixth edition of this manual, updated for the first time since 1989, has been completely rewritten and reorganized to reflect the latest advancements in the test and balance industry, according to AABC.

The 375-page hardcover manual has an extensive index for easy searching, and “is the last word on the proper approach to testing, adjusting and balancing hvac systems.” AABC believes that by promoting the concept of Total System Balance, the industry will be encouraged to adopt more consistent practices, thus ensuring greater success for all parties involved in the design, installation, start-up, operation and testing of hvac systems.
