QwikShot Acid Flush approved for space station
ROCKLEDGE, Fla. - Mainstream Engineering Corp.'s QwikShot Acid Flush has been chosen for use in the refrigerated centrifuge R-134A compressor on board the international space station.
According to the company, QwikShot does not neutralize the acid, but instead quickly flushes harmful acids into the filter-drier of the operating system. This allows the filter-drier to remove the acid, and the flush itself, leaving no residue or contamination.
Mainstream Engineering Corp. manufactures high-technology thermal control products for military and NASA applications that are available for HVAC use.
