White-Rodgers names products-promotion winners
ST. LOUIS - HVAC controls maker White-Rodgers awarded $15,000 in prizes as part of its second annual "universal products" promotion for wholesalers and contractors.
Contractors were given an opportunity to win every time they purchased a new universal heating product from White-Rogers. More than 2,900 entries were submitted for the promotion, which ran from October to February.
Mike Beynen from Lake Orion Plumbing and Heating in Michigan was awarded a $5,000 Bass Pro Shops gift certificate for purchasing the winning product. Jason Prahl of Michigan Temperature Controls was awarded a $1,500 gift certificate for selling it to Beynen. Michigan Temperature Controls also received a $2,500 training fund from White-Rodgers.
Two second-place awards were given away as part of the promotion. A $1,000 award was given to contractors from Lehman's and S&S Heating; a $500 award was presented to employees of GW Berkheimer in Fishers, Ind.
Four third-place awards were also presented. A $500 award went to contractors Fischer Plumbing and Heating, Country Estate Townhomes, Terry Allen Plumbing and Wards All Service. A $250 award went to employees of 2J Supply in Lima, Ohio; Johnstone Supply in Omaha, Neb.; Apco Inc. in Flint, Mich., and Harry Cooper Supply in Springfield, Mo.
